Gators Capture Second Consecutive Men's Swimming and Diving Championships

Athens, Ga.

The University of Florida Men's Swimming and Diving team captured the Southeastern Conference Championship Saturday night in Athens, Ga.

The Gators won their second consecutive title and ninth in school history after totaling 1,440 points.

The Gator women's program finished third with 1,130 points.

Overall, the Gator swimming and diving program have captured 35 SEC Championships, a total that ranks second among all SEC sports (Kentucky basketball has 45).

UF's Sebastein Rousseau captured SEC Swimmer of the Year and the Commissioner’s Trophy for most points scored in the meet.
