If any of these coaches were legitimately worried about player safety, that would be one thing.  But they aren't.  And that's sad.

I hope you're talking about Nick Saban, Bert Bielema, and the rest of the coaches hiding behind 'player safety' as opposed to actually learning to stop the HUNH...

I hope that's what you're talking about.

I fail to see where the apology is. He's definitely not sorry. He knew exactly what he was saying.

All he said was he gives "condolences" to the family of the dead player.

Condolences and sympathy...  I believe that he said that he is sorry for something that he said turned out to be insensitive and stupid.  I don't believe that he is actually worried about player safety.

A lot of hate up in hur.

Gotta hate for hate's sake I reckon.

I hope he's wrong about the possibility of a player passing away because he won't come out for fear of penalty.

Granted, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt; but it does fall a bit short of actually apologizing for using a tragedy to further his own agenda regarding the HUNH debate.

He essentially said, I'm sorry that I'm not sorry.

He's saying what is sad is hiding behind the injury talk knowing it will get peoples attention to push your own agenda. Saban doesn't give a damn about player safety. He wants to give himself every advantage possible to win.

When Bret wins 3 SEC games TOPS over the next 2 years, we won't have to read so much stupid stuff from him on the SEC boards.

I really don't understand all the complaining from both sides. the big 12 has used this for years but nobody complained until it moved into the sec. what is our cotton bowl record with the big 12 over the last 10 or so years? yep mizzou won one as a big 12 member but we can pull sec thinking and claim it too. remember that was usually big 12 #2 vs sec #4 or 5. Also remember this, auburn and Ole Miss had some kind of bad record the year before they changed coaches and started this. Winning improved immediately and both are exciting to watch. That drives tv ratings up which is good for the sec as a whole. Boys girls and aliens are tuning in to watch our football.

It's pussy ball.

For pussies.

Belongs in the big 12. Sad that you guys had to resort to it.

Did I mention it's pussyball? At least auburn is physical. Ole miss offense bubble screen over and over is gimmicky trash
