I'll say it right now, Hayden Stone is the SEC FOY. Dude is lights out. Came in pitched 5+ innings of relief. Struck out 10. He's allowed 1 ER on 18 IP, 2 BB, and 30 (thirty) Ks.

I feel more depressed than I should, still gonna be happy with escaping with one game, barring a 9th inning comeback.

Should have won the series and I know the feeling.

Vandy shoulda swept LSU. They stole one on Friday night.

Trivia Time: who was the last  team to beat VU in a regular season series, and when?

Can't imagine there have been many HRs closer to Kirk Gibson's.  Obviously there's minimal significance to this one game, but still a great moment...

Florida gets some
Home cooking in the 8th. Umpire started giving UFs pitcher about 6 inches outside the plate. 3 ks looking on three terrible pitches. Going to bottom 8, arkansas down 2-1

Poor Hogs; all those sorry football referees, basketball referees, baseball umpires, judges, and other various officials in countless other sports get together at Hooters every year and conspire to steal wins from Arkansas in every single contest between them and Florida.

Class act

See above. It gets really hard to maintain that class act when a portion of your fan base reduces every single UF victory to a case of UF cheating and SEC complicity in some wide-ranging conspiracy to keep Arkansas down.

Never a Posted Imageing "good game" or "congratulations" from most of them; always just a case of UAr getting screwed again. Apparently UF has never won a single competition fairly in any sport against UAr since 1991.

It's kind of ironic, too, because UF has never been a member of the SEC good ol' boy network; we're an original member but spent our first 50 years in the conference as a relative outsider always getting dumped on by that same good ol' boy bunch. We were the ones always getting the short end of the stick; and let me tell you, it was a whole helluva lot more blatant and flagrant than any perceived injustices Hog fans howl about.

You're one of the exceptions, so I try not to do a whole lotta bashing or smack-talking of UAr unless provoked; but the whiny, crybaby Posted Imageers can kiss my alligator anus at this point... can only be an ambassador for so long before you finally get sick of being told you only win with help, and start rubbing it in instead.

Hey douchebag, I didn't say anything about UF cheating. I mentioned ONE inning where the zone was stretched. You can't score one run in two games and expect to win Anything. I'm assuming you didn't watch any of it. not taking anything away from UFs two wins so far.

We haven't exactly been tearing it up at the plate, either; if our pitching is decent it'll probably be the only thing that is this year.

So I'm already less than enthusiastic about how we look so far, and reading that a win over UAr, lame as it might be, was again the result of yet another biased officiating crew rubbed me the wrong way.

Watching it wouldn't have changed anything; even if I didn't agree there'd still be someone claiming it in here without fail... you guys claim we benefit from home-cooking even when the games are in YOUR home.

Sorry if I overreacted.

Saw that one coming. Going into the 9th we sat there nervously talking about how SC has made a living off 9th inning comebacks and jokingly said watch them hit a 3 run bomb.

We played well and had our chance. Blew it. You just kind of get used to that as an ole miss baseball fan.

Yes. But UF wasn't the last team to beat VU in a regular season series. It was Alabama in April of 2012. That's a long ass streak.
