It took extras for Bama to earn the series win vs Stevie Austin. But we got it done.

We've won 4 of the first 6 on the year, though not in the most dominating fashion. Offense has done a good job getting guys on base but we aren't stringing across many runs. One of those team-wide RISP funks that hopefully will pass.

Up next comes Southern Miss. I don't know much about them so maybe @GoldenRebel can fill me in. I know they're 2-5 but three of the five losses came to Louisiana.

Speaking of the Ragin Cajuns, we've got them after USM in Lafayette. Excited to see how we look against a legit top 20 team in a weekend series.

not the way  I wanted to start off 3-4 next week we get Alabama A&M, and a three game series with Presbyterian all  I know is we better start opening up the bats next week or bama just may get their first win over us at riverwalk stadium the week after

if we get swept by a team that call theirself the blue hose next week heads are gonna roll >:(

Super small school. Used to live about 20 mins from campus. They tend to be decent at baseball for their size. We just played them midweek and only beat them 4-0. I would expect their weekend pitching to be even better than that.

Being a douche doesn't make you overrated.
Hell, no one in the SEC besides SC has had a better 5 year run.

What makes him overrated?
My only issue is that he can't seem to make up his mind on pretty much anything.
Talent in college baseball will mask a lot of shortcomings. I've just never thought he was a good strategist at all. I'm probably a little biased though (you're right about that) because I just don't care for his demeanor at all.

That's what I mean when I say he can't make up his mind.
Season to season I never know if we are pitching by committee, recruiting the power bats, giving green lights to be aggressive on the bases... it frustrates me a little, but the only true negative is that epic failure in the 2012 CWS and getting us there to begin with is a huge success.

He's gruff, but not a dick.

We play Southern in Pensacola next month.
I like when we do this sort of thing.
Gives fans that live far away a chance to see the team.

Our first real test is this weekend as well. South Alabama is coming to Baum. won't be terribly shocked if we drop our first game of the season this weekend.

UCF is pretty good, we got our first challenge of the year vs GSU and came away with 2/3 games. Expecting a weekday 2 game sweep of ULM and to take 2/3 vs UCF.

Probably the most exciting moment of our season came in the 9th inning of a 6-0 win.

But the scoreless streak was in peril!  EKU had the bases loaded with nobody out.    K - K  - 4-3 putout and the streak is alive and well.

I really like this team, but I'm definitely excited for some real competition this week for the Clemson series.   Aaron Fitt of Baseball America will be at the games so there should be some nice in-depth commentary on it.   Kendall Rodgers of Perfect Game today said it's definitely the best rivalry in college baseball.

For some reason this Sunday loss has thrown some semblance of doubt over my mind, although I know that there should be no worries over a sunday loss in OOC play.
ULM is a pretty bad team, UCF is solid but lost some talent last year, gonna be interesting to see how the young guys rebound after a loss.

I listened to some of that game.Their pitching was pretty salty and that Triplett kid had a heck of a day batting. It happens in baseball all the time.
