UL-Lafayette looking to sneak by State, leading them 14-2.

The good news for State: only another two innings to go.
The bad news for State: the Cajuns have scored a minimum of one run per inning.

ETA: Houston knocks off LSUx 5-4.

I was about to have a heart attack from the fifth inning on, good win. We will find a way to WAOM it up and lose both of them tomorrow, no doubt about that.

We need smith to get us into the 6th. Then weathersby, Tarkington, Laxer. And about 10 runs on offense

We've been here before several times under bianco, in the sense that we only need one win in two games to advance. And we've Posted Image the bed several of those times. Against worse teams than Washington too. So anything can happen. Our pitching is in a better situation. That's the only thing giving me hope

It's the year of the confederates. Have fun in Lafayette. These cajuns are just as rowdy as the Baton Rouge variety.

Smith has been absolute Posted Image the past few weeks. But if we get 6 innings out of him I will be pretty happy. Offense needs to do better than yesterday too, no cheeky squeeze bunts Bianco.

Lala is rowdier than lsu. Those folks have always been crazy. It should come as no surprise.

He's just not good enough to face tough flight hitters more than two times. It's the third time through the lineup that kills him. Bianco knows this but in the reg season you just let him fight through it and get better. Doubt you'll see that today. Especially with a full pen healthy

The Miami v Texas Tech game is interesting; complete with a bench-clearing brawl, 3 ejections, etc.

Miami and Texas Tech? NO! Hooda thunkit?

I think the football players have been telling the baseball players for years, ever since the brawl with the FIU football team, that they need to make their bones against a lesser opponent that doesn't really threaten them to really be a full fledged member of Da U.

Mission accomplished.

Need a big hit here, tied with Washington 2-2 in the top of the 8th, with 2 on, on 1st and 2nd, 2 outs.
