I'm kind of on the fence about it. Is it better that the players rest, or better that they stay active and sharp?

As has been said, I don't think those teams that already have spots locked up will take too many chances or risks in the SECT... I doubt we'll see those teams' coaches push pitchers into long outings or pitch counts.

Well, it comes down to this: UF gotta win tomorrow and we have to pull something out of our backside and beat LSU to get in the tournament. If either one of those don't happen, we're staying home.

FIRE MATT LUKE!!!!

Never remember the 22nd of November,

the day Ole Miss football flopped.
The rest of the season still gives good reason
but yesterday should always be forgot.

Looks like the top 4 seeds with 1st round byes in the SEC Tournament are:

1.  Florida
2.  Ole Miss
3.  LSU
4.  SC

Mississippi State and SC were tied but from what the Gamecock site said, with our win over Vanderbilt and an MSU loss to Bama, we get the 4 seed (I assume via tiebreaker).

Too late for that, even before today's game... we locked it up for ourselves yesterday.

That's why today Sully decided to throw the bench out there for our last game with UT.

They said in the pregame there was nothing for UF to gain or lose and that Sully was going to start mostly backups today so they'd have some more real game experience going into the post-season.

From the looks of it, they needed the work too; the backups played some sho nuff fugly ball today; if there was a mistake to be made, they made it... pitching mistakes, fielding mistakes, base running mistakes, batting mistakes.

They didn't take any home with them; left 'em all out there on the field... consequently we lost 7-5.

These are the backups who started today: Jason Lombardozzi 2b, Justin Shafer rf, Mike Fahrman c, Josh Tobias 3b, and Ryan Larson lf. And we let 8 pitchers take the mound, half of whom I don't even know.
