Fire sale, imo. Trade Justin, BJ, Chris Johnson, and Evan Gattis. I'd also consider trading Mike Minor as Woody looks every bit as good/better than Mike.

We need a complete overhaul of the lineup. Justin had a great year, but we could get quite the return for him. Same goes for Gattis. An AL team would pay a TON to have his bat as the DH. Johnson and BJ are just useless and easily replaceable.

In the trades, we should look for a few ML-ready replacement position players, and 1-2 starting pitchers. We might be putting ourselves in a bad position for next year, but we could get a slew of top prospects if we trade these guys now.

The Braves keep sending me e-mails.  I'm so pissed at the whole organization right now...I don't want to see anything that reminds me that I'm a fan.  No reason for optimism right now, in my opinion.  MAYBE we'll get a halfway decent hitting coach....

Maybe.

When he puts it this way, I can't blame him...

Quote

“I sat back and I started thinking about it. It’s even more of a time commitment from a coaching standpoint than it is a player standpoint. I don’t want to be at the park at noon every day. I don’t want to be at the park until midnight every night. I don’t want to wake up at spring training and have to be there at 6:30 in the morning. It’s a huge commitment, and I don’t want to cheat the organization at this point because I’m not ready to put that kind of time commitment into it.”

But still Posted Image you, Larry.

Can't blame Chipper for not wanting to do it now. Dude is soaking up the retirement life. In a few years when he starts to feel irrelevant, he'll dust off the old knees and put on his spikes and A cap again...

Are we gonna have a fire sale and clear off some of this lineup? A lot of potential wasted, some good new beginnings type of crap to advertise. Just hope we can get something
