The 425 foot "Orlando Eye" ferris wheel currently under construction on I-Drive looks like it is going to be awesome.  Only the pyramid-looking supporting beams are up, but they are so high already and to realize that the top of these beams  is only the center of the ferris wheel boggles your  mind.  It should open in a few months.  I'll keep you posted.

The SUBURBS of Orlando are nice. Winter Park, Lake Brantley, some parts of downtown, etc.
I bet you hardly ever go to actual Orlando. Mr. Fancy Pants down in Windermere.

I'd hate to ride that thing after a couple hurricanes loosen it up.

Yep, pretty much stay in west Orange County.  The Millenia Mall on Conroy and the Florida Mall on Sand Lake are about as far East as we venture unless we are visiting our daughter who lives in Lake Nona or heading to Cocoa Beach.  And, talk about fancy... now Isleworth; that's fancy!

I have an uncle that just retired as a postmaster in Auburndale and one of my best buds lives in Sarasota it seems pretty nice.
