Guy I know on another board recently posted this and not everyone here are a bunch of heartless monsters so I figured it wouldn't hurt to keep spreading the word.

"In January I started working at a Title I school in North FL that has scarce resources. The community is largely of low-socioeconomic means and most of these kids come from that background. I'm a media specialist and am trying to get new computers in the media center to help these kids build up the research skills they'll need to have any hope of making it to an institution of higher learning. Very few have access to computers, much less the internet, at home, so school is their only place to get this type of experience. The computers in our media center are obsolete, pieces of poop, and are more frustrating than beneficial for the students and me.

With all this in mind, I've set up a project on DonorsChoose.org to raise funds for six new computers which will replace half of those in the media center currently. If you'd like to help, you can use the promo code INSPIRE to have your donation of up to $100 automatically matched. If you aren't familiar with DonorsChoose, it is well respected and has raised millions of dollars for public education across the country; so far I've raised just over $[1300] for this project, which you can find here
(www.donorschoose.org/project/bringing-technology-to-a-title-i-school/1176284?challengeid=361304&utm_source=dc&utm_medium=proposal&utm_campaign=copyURL&rf=copyURL_dccontent_2014_02_teacherid_2195338).
If you opt to, you can receive thank you letters and photos from my students after the project is funded, if you make a donation.

If you're down, thank you for the support! If you're not interested, thanks for reading anyways."

Didn't realize it was in Monticello.
Very poor, very rural area.

You might want to contact some major corporations.  They might be getting rid of a whole fleet of computers and they would love to donate if you want to work out the logistics of it

He has been working on that as well but he has said that the other teachers have had no luck when trying to do the same. Still going to do it for himself though
