Defense still wins championships.. lots of money lost on this one almost everyone had the Broncos outside of Washington.

Defenses won and lost the game. Seattle's won it and Denver's lost it. Game reminded me of a 1/21 post from another board that nailed it beforehand.

Re: Denver vs Seattle - who wins?

Seattle wins. Denver faced only four opponents all year with a defense that was in the top half of the league. And they faced no great defenses.

Seattle's defensive game plan was pretty awesome though I'm not sure too many teams can pull it off.  They jammed the WR at the line but then fell back into zone, basically negated all the pick plays the Broncos run.  The only long crossing completion I remember was from two Seahawk defenders bumping into each other.  They knew Peyton wants to throw quick if there is pressure so they gave him a spot on the field to throw to, the short middle, and let him throw there all he wanted but the Broncos were never able to break a tackle there.

The Broncos did make some strange decisions though
Punting from the Seattle 39?
Not getting at least 3 on the first long drive?
Not throwing deep once they were down 22?

They appeared to have given up about midway through the 2nd quarter.

Amid one of the most boring and lopsided Super Bowls in recent years was the ad by Coke which fell far short of selling more cokes.  In languages that most American's don't recognize or understand, the ad was likely more offensive than anything else.

I'm not sure why a country that is a melting pot of many cultures would find offensive by a patriotic song sang in many different languages.

Yeah that ad made me reconsider buying Coke products. Thought it was a pretty stupid and short-sighted pandering attempt.

We won't have to stack the box, our athletes are better. Read the first sentence, Auburn won't have over 175. Bet anything you want, it's not gonna happen. That's the one thing Bama can do without a doubt 100% mark it down, and have been for years.

If you're going to bet, it will be longer than signing day. This is a rivalry that lasts 365 days, you would have to at least keep it until next football season or this isn't even worth mentioning. Besides, Bama could be winning late in the game and the scrubs get the 200.
Either way, it won't be happening to Bama's defense.
