After 3 5-7 seasons in a row, I think it's worth applauding the fact that Butch Jones has put together a top 5 recruiting class, and is #1 in the SEC East on every recruiting ranking website I'm aware of. I know recruiting doesn't matter unless you can coach them up, but it's a start anyway.

I'm ready for Tennessee to stop being a laughing stock on the top SEC teams' schedules.

He's definitely taken the first step. It's kind of like a catch-22; teams need good players to have good seasons, and teams have an easier time attracting good players with good seasons.

If UT can put together some decent seasons, the recruiting should be easier in the future too.

Auburn was his worst game of the year.  He'll be a first round draft pick.

So yes, Georgia, be glad you didn't get him**
Tunsil will be the first or second tackle in the draft for sure, wouldn't be surprised if he is top 10. Dude is so talented, and if he can be relatively uninjured he could be the unspoken MVP of our offense.

As is plainly obvious, class rankings can vary quite significantly depending on whether you're grading it on the number of recruits plus the quality of those recruits (total points) or whether you're simply grading it on quality alone (average star ranking of each player in the class).

Bama has a pretty full class and the highest average player rating to boot, so they end up #1 no matter how you slice it. The others aren't nearly as clear; when the classes are ranked solely by the average grade of the players in a class (quality), the teams move around considerably.

Quite a few teams are far from finished with their classes, and a couple teams are in the running for some of the very best recruits in the country; so these rankings may move quite a bit more before it's all said and done.

Should be a lot of fun come NSD. Best of luck to everyone still hoping to land additional blue-chippers.

The quality rankings are the true rankings. On Rivals you are able to sort by star average, I haven't been able to find an easy way to sort it like that on 247. Thanks for posting.

To be honest Idk, I haven't heard too much on him lately.

Edit:

Him delaying can only be good for State though, no telling what's going on from our side. He could be legit interested in playing time at State.

That's true. I dunno how Nick Saban keep signing so many high profile recruits..

Saban: "Hey, Mr. 6'5, 230 pound 5 star WR that runs a 4.3, wanna come play backup special teams gunner for the University of Alabama and most likely never see a meaningful snap in your career because I've got 17 people just like you ahead of you on the depth chart? I mean, sure, you'd start for every other team in the country on day 1, and you've got All-American/future first round pick talent, but who cares about all that?...So, wanna sign up?"

Rest of the country: Posted Image

Yeah, terrible indeed. Being apart of championship football, while earning an above average degree and if not that, a great shot at the NFL just by winning a starting job and performing well.

Damian Prince - 10:20am
Chris Lammons - 1:00pm
Dexter Wideman - 3:00pm
Wesley Green - 5:00pm

These are the times that people we are in the final group for are announcing. We have basically a 0% chance with Damian Prince but technically we were never officially cut from his list so he is on here anyway.

Incredibly we did okay, with a Parade National POY quarterback, and some pretty good skill position players; but by far our most important offensive commitments are OL... we found out real quick that all the 4* and 5* playmakers in the world can be rendered completely useless without a competent OL.

Fawk me this conference is a meat grinder.  Stoops is making it happen the right way.  Adding Tubman tomorrow over Penn State should give us a boost.
