I don't know the name of the song, but it sounded like Willie Nelson.  I think it was about a homeless man trying to reconnect with the family he long ago wronged.  Never could find it, so maybe it wasn't Willie or it was a cover.

Anyway, I was sitting at the gas station about to start a long road trip and had to pause for a few moments to process it.  I don't remember if I actually teared up but it definitely hit me pretty hard.

I've always liked the original better. I saw NIN on the Fragility Tour in 2000 when A Perfect Circle opened for them. One of the best concerts I've ever been to and it was pretty intense and emotional. After being shook by hours of great music Trent came out for an encore and did an amazing version of Hurt. Yeah....I cried. What of it.

God damn it's hard not to be emotional when Garfunkel belts out the chorus. Perfect song.

Seriously my favorite song. I tear up every time I hear it, and I cry at the last verse. You can't help it.

Damn those 96 pages in that homo thread has all you girls in an uproar. Y'all start a thread about love scenes and somebody needs to get banned.
