Something not too harsh, not too tame. Something manly but not brutal. Something simple. Not a beer as I am not a fan or horse piss or soggy cereal (I will drink beer but I will not go out of my way to at home. Copper Creek in Athens Ga or a better beer bar).  Something to sip not slam. Maybe a blended scotch, maybe a bourbon, no vodka please. Maybe a good port or mulled whine. Maybe a Sheri or something a bit different. Not looking to erase or kill brain cells but something social. Something to sit on a deck on a cold evening and just enjoy some good company with or to sit at my desk and read or shoot pool to.

@smokeyone this is a good song to drink to, and the thread title reminded me of it.

Beam Devil's Cut. Easy to sip, smoky with enough burn and not bad on your wallet.

Bourbon is always the answer. Try some Four Roses Single Barrel on for size.

Yup, Four Roses Single Barrel and Jameson 12 or 18 year reserve are my favorites for sipping.

I bought some filibuster rye whiskey. Its interesting. Tear drop rock "glass" in hand sitting on the deck in 19 degree temps with a fire pit. A splash of water in it and its growing on me.
