Many figured this, but I figured there would at least competition during the offseason. Spurrier said the only competition will be for who will be the number 2 guy. Our bed is made gentlemen. Hope Thompson can make off season self-improvements that we saw Shaw make the past two seasons.

Need compition to keep him hungry, interesting move by the ole ball coach. Of course he could be instilling confidence in him with this move, who knows.

It's Spurrier.   If Mitch or Nosovitch are clearly better in August, he's not going to worry about what he said in January.

I have confidence in Dylan though, so I won't be nervous if he is the starter.

He definitely plays better when his confidence is high(even more than most QBs), but for some reason he didn't seem to carry over the confidence he gained in 2012 into 2013. He's shown that he can play great though, so I'll just hope he takes a big step forward next year.
