At least this interview at the Senior Bowl confirms Saban is recruiting Jacob Coker....

But what about Jacob Coker, the Florida State quarterback who hails from Mobile and has been long-rumored as a potential transfer option for Alabama?
Saban didn't have much to say.
"We can't talk about anybody that we might be recruiting," Saban said.

I guess this answers the question about what to think about the current talent at QB in UA

Yeah we should go with a freshman or redshirt freshman, hell it worked for FSU.

Guess we just had a roundabout way of jerking off Saban for recruiting Coker.

I'm for this.

Well I guess this means Cooper Bateman's a bust.

Coker should be a good stopgap to prepare Ricky Town.

Or maybe it speaks to the talent of Coker.

I am too--but he shouldn't get the starting job unless he clearly outperforms the other QBs.  If it's close, you gotta give some love to the guys who've put in all that work.

I haven't been impressed with him, and I like people from Utah.

Town should be the future, him or Cornwell.
