Really really bad for South Carolina football:

http://en.wikipedia....s_football_team

- 0-11
- 9 TDs all season
- Lost every game expect one by 10 points or more
- Lost to East Carolina by 18 and a really bad Vandy team
- Scored 3 or less points 4 times  (twice shutout)

What a difference 14 years makes.

Also we scored more TD's in the Coastal game alone that we did all year in 1999.

We scored more overall points by the end of the 3rd Q of the 3rd game this year than we did in all of 1999.

What's more shocking is that the people covering your games haven't brought that up every chance they get. You win two games in one year now and don't beat an SEC team you'll be hearing about it in 2019.

You cannot truly appreciate the highs if you do not experience the lows.....it's a great time to be a Gamecock.

Let me get this straight. We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and will be fined for if we don't, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts itself from it, signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that's broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

I was 16 at the time. My dad worked near the stadium, so we were tailgating at his place of employment every game...and I was in the stadium for every home game embarrassment.

I always try to keep that time in perspective now that we're experiencing our recent success. It makes the head-scratchers, like the UT loss, more bearable when you do this.

Good god. That really puts things in perspective. I'd be in car on my way to go strangle Richt if we had that record over 2 years

1998 was Brad Scott's last year. He was fired at the end of the season. 1999 was Lou Holtz first year.
