Hearing Smart wasnt even in the picture. They had their chance to get him before and didnt. Didnt try again. Pruitt looks to have been the 1st stop.

Pruitt killed it at the Presser and players/recruits seem to love the guy.

Im not on Dawgvent. Lol

Will Friend (UGA Coach) was the first to reach out to Pruitt. Then Richt.  Richt was only considering one other candidate. Pruitt seems to have been the target the whole time.

Richt implied at the presser that someone else was also offered and genuinely wanted to come to Georgia but couldn't leave such a "good situation". That has to be Smart...

F$U cannot afford to pay Pruitt what UGA can.

Mississippi State, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and probably Vanderbilt all have more money than F$U.
Couple that with them giving Jimbo a raise to $5 million a year, and they are strapped for cash.
Now is a good time to poach their assistants.

I've heard that Jimbo is actually just a tremendously big prick to work for. Way worse than Saban is to even work for. I think FSU could have matched $850k. Will Friend and Pruitt are also close friends and were roommates in college.

I liked RIcht going on the offensive at the presser about "non-commitable" offers.

"schools tell recruits, we're going to offer you, but you can't commit yet. I don't even know what that means!"

I'm sure Fisher is tough to work for.
They had an exodus of assistants last year. They lost 6 off their staff.
Just unbelieveable they went 13-0.

But as to the other point, F$U actually struggles to make ends meet and has a lot of debt as an athletic department, compared to other big programs.
I doubt they could match $850K to be honest.

You probably will find this hilarious too. FSU had 15 straight top 5 finishes before Georgia poached away Mark Richt and it took them over a decade to recover. They finally do and we steal their rising star defensive coordinator.

Actually talked to someone who knows him personally, says he's a d-bag

Wouldn't be surprised if people just didn't like working with him
