doesn't shock me. If you take away our fluke game against Bama, where they scored I think 15 earned runs we'd be well below 2.

And we were the two teams with the largest pitching question marks preseason.

Anderson's numbers make me happy

It's amazing how much progress he's made. He used to be a guy that didn't have much pop and squeezed a single through every once in a while. He's gotten more and more power each year and now he's just a complete hitter. And he's made a great transition to third which I'm sure has helped his bat a little

I thought our starting pitching would be fine but was worried about our pen. its proven to be solid. I fully expected Oliver to be in the bullpen, but Poche still isn't ready to throw a lot of pitches...and Oliver has been dealing lately.

What's nice is that so far, our starters have generally been able to go deep enough in conference games where we've really only used our closer, Gunn.

Having a guy like poche laying around could be the difference in losing a regional and going to Omaha. Having a capable #4 starter is huge. Something we don't have at the moment

I had Poche penciled in as a weekend starter, but he's still basically recuperating from an injury and is still on a pitch count. He's only starting midweek games right now, but as the season goes we may see him out of the pen, especially if (when) we reach tourney time.

The wife is out of town so I'll be at both midweek games this week against a very good UNLV team. I'll be paying more attention to our lesser used pitchers.

Anyone ever been 0-7 for the week end? I'm working on it this week.

Not that I'm aware of, but it'd be hard to tell.  If someone went 0-something, they wouldn't show up on the board for that week since they got none correct.  So the only way to know is if they owned up to it.

I just went in and changed some of my picks for this week. I'll either pass you and GF or drop further behind.

@GoldenRebel I'm pretty sure I'm out of it now. I changed some picks to ones that were different from yours and GFs to try and make those series up. Bama and ATM both choked for me
