So I'm going this summer with the Ole Miss program. The only problem is... I can't decide exactly where I want to go.

I've narrowed it down to Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, and possibly the Greek Isles.

If anyone's been to those places, or know of another country that would be better, any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Studying a broad? What's her name?

Seriously, though, hard to go wrong on any of those places.

My dad goes to Ireland every year and absolutely loves it. Mother went to Greece recently, and has been to all those places; and would readily recommend any of them.

I'm not real crazy about cold weather, so I'd take the Mediterranean locale, although I'm not sure how much studying you'd get done, except for the aforementioned broad kind.

Anywhere in particular in the Mediterranean you would suggest?

You mentioned the Greek Isles, so that's what I was referring to. If you're interested in the beginning of modern civilization that's your destination.

They went to Athens, Rethymno, Santorini, Napflion, Olympia, and Delphi.

This is where they stayed in Santorini...

Switzerland would be my choice because of the ease of travel around Europe.  You'd find it much easier to travel to Germany, France, wherever from that central location.  My sister did a summer in Prague and was able to visit lot of different countries from Czech.

I went over seas to school. women were ugly. food was terrible. classes took a lot of extra research. it was worth it though. I have no idea what the paper says cause its in old latin but I got a piece of paper for being there a while and keeping a certain grade point.

I don't know if it's an option for you, but UGA has an exchange program with Oxford.  My roomate lived over there for a semester and loved everything about it.  He traveled around Europe, ate, drank, and wrote where C.S. Lewis and J.R. Tolkien did, and got more ass than a public toilet seat.

THIS. Switizerland is pretty centrally located, and you can take weekend trips to basically anywhere in Europe from there for a nominal free. between the rail system and cheap flights from Ryan Air, that's what I would do if I were going for the summer. That said, my preference would be to study abroad for the fall or spring semester. Gives you more time. Most summer programs are, what, a few weeks?

I have been to the Greek Isles when I was younger. Beautiful country, the ocean is immensely clear and the mountains are amazing, the women are okay, lot's of topless beaches
But it is a very different culture, and took me a while to get used to.
Switzerland is centrally located, allowing you to travel to many different countries and cultures on your free time, Ireland is full of booze, and I know nothing about Sweden.
