I think Georgia hires Kirby Smart and Alabama already knows this. They will bring in Orgeron to coach their D. To be honest I would almost rather have Orgeron but I ain't complaining if that's how things go.

That's what you're hoping or predicting?

Seems pretty bold to think we get Smart

I actually have a much stronger feeling that it could happen this time around than years before. I get the feeling that Saban is going through a period of change and trying to reinvent himself at Alabama, and it gives Kirby with a perfect opportunity to establish his own name out of Saban's shadow.

I don't think so Kirby makes almost half of what Richt does Kirby wont make a lateral move for less money.
"I didn't come to Alabama to win 10 games a year and be a contender. I came here to win championships, Conference Championships, and National Championships. I love it here because that's not just what I want, but what this fan base expects." -Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban

It's not that bold when there are a lot of coaching changes going on at Alabama and there are defensive coordinators out there with more of an argument for head coaching jobs than Smart (Orgeron, Pruitt, Narduzzi)

I have to think UGA wants Kirby or no one at this point. He'd probably be the head coach in waiting as well.

1.15 x 2 = 2.3

CMR makes 3.2 M..... you're only off by 1 M

I wasn't trying to be exact just making the point UGA doesn't even pay Richt on par with what every other good coach makes I know they're not gonna kick out over a mil for a coordinator.

Kirby will say no.  2 or 3 decent guys will want too much money.  We will end up bringing Willie "Football AIDS" Martinez back.  Richt and McGarity will give some bull Posted Image excuse and our moron fan base will buy it.

Erroneous, sir!  Richt is not paid on par with other good coaches because he is not a good coach.

While I do see what you're saying......

I'll bet money whoever we get we pay nearly 1 M if not more..... CTG made 850 K, can't get much closer without going over

Richt doesn't make that much money because quite frankly he hasn't earned Urban Meyer / Saban money
