Auburn should have shoved Tre Mason down FSU throat.

They did 75% of the time.

It wasn't enough.

Great season/game AU!
a big lack of t/e running as well.

You can't think that way as a player. Down by 3, NC game, a minute left, you have nothing but the endzone in front of you and you think to yourself "Gee, I better fall down here so we can run off another 30-40 seconds so that they don't have time to score"...no way.
I've seen it happen a million times!

Yall got auBURNED, by a faster luckier team.  That and your defense gave up an 80 yard drive in just 1 min 6 sec in the final 1:19 of the game.  That'll get you beat every time.  You gave up an 80 yard drive late to UGA in just 22 secs late in that game too. It was a miracle that AU won that one.

Congrats to FSU.  We had our chances to finish the game and came up short.  A missed 33 yd FG, allowing a kickoff return for TD, and not slowing the noles on the final drive lost this one for my Tigers...

I wanted this NC but in the end we were MUCH improved every game this year, our recruiting is in good shape and unless we lose too many juniors we should be better next year.  War Eagle!

I wouldn't throw Marshall under the bus. He executes this style of offense well, just not a good passer. When they went away from mason it exposed him.

I wouldnt get too upset at parkey.... it wasnt like he missed 3 field goals.   1 i can forgive.    Just wasnt in the cards tonight.   that 3rd quarter would have been huge if they could have put some points on the board

Only takes one missed field goal to lose.

Auburn lost because they didn't score in the 2nd half until 4:42 was left in the game. Lack of Mason or not, Malzahn chocked. Which is surprising to say the least.

How about a beautifully timed no call on pass inter. followed by a ticky tack holding call when they converted third down that took at least 3 points off the board (maybe 7) for Auburn.  After that FSU fakes the punt and scores so instead of 28 or 24 to 3 it's 21 to 10.  The officials then let a late horse collar tackle against Auburn go so people will say " they missed calls on both sides".  Officials controlled the Sugar Bowl just like that and tried to control the Orange Bowl but there was no help for Ohio St.

It wasn't his passing that was horrendous last night, it was his reads on the option... He'd been good most of the season with them but it seemed like last night he went with the exact opposite of what he should have done the majority of the options we ran. He executed the offense well most of the season, but he executed it extremely poorly last night.

Auburn got away with several calls last night but FSU definitely got away with more... And the penalties called on Auburn definitely hurt us more. FSU may have lost one point to the celebration penalty, but as you pointed out, we definitely lost 3 (and probably 7) on that piss poor holding call.

The refs didn't make us lose, though. We had chances to win and didn't do what we had to do. Well, Tre Mason did, but nobody else on the team stepped up in the second half.
