You'd have to be batshit crazy to say that

What, we'd have zero SEC wins every year?

Montario Hardesty, Arian Foster, Luke Stocker, Dan Williams, Eric Berry, Robert Ayers, Rico McCoy. He lost to Wyoming with these players. Just imagine what he would have been with our offense and Brent Posted Imageing Brewer and Dontavis Sapp. Give butch the 2008 roster and we go 8-4 in a much tougher East with a much tougher schedule.

That's the problem, he brought major success and kept Tennessee in the running for the SECCG most years...yet you would be worse? Worse than Dooley and Kiffin?

I mean he recruited very well too, so it's not like much has changed yet.

Yeah he did such a good job with those 30 something recruiting classes. You guys need to take a look at his recruiting down the stretch, even the top ranked 07 class was littered with straight busts, save for Berry.

He would not have been in the same zipcode against UGA and SC, either.

Doesn't mean they work all the time. The point is Alabama faltered, while the other old banner schools wallow in mediocrity. Time to pick up some slack.

The fire was not the problem. The hires(all three) after the fire was the problem. But yeah, all the SEC banner schools aren't doing shit. Not like theres one in the national championship and winning as we speak.

I can't believe you think the streak would be over!!!! Msu almost beat au. Msu almost beat bama. Msu almost beat lsu. They were just too nice for their own good. I bet if nobody else had a chance to go to the nc they would step up and do their thing.
