Five NFL head coaches whose teams had subpar performances were fired Monday less than 24 hours after the regular season ended.

Washington's Mike Shanahan, Detroit's Jim Schwartz, Minnesota's Leslie Frazier and Tampa Bay's Greg Schiano were all victims of “Black Monday,” the day when traditionally coaches lose their jobs. The Cleveland Browns did not even wait that long, axing Rob Chudzinski on Sunday night after just one season.

Sometimes bringing in a new guy can not mean the turd can be polished any better.Players,or lack of,are generally the problem. If the franchise will fork out the bucks they can make a run.

Would be scary to coach the Browns. You might only get 1 year to turn around the largest dumpster fire in NFL history before you get shit canned.

At last we agree. Browns fans might have suffered more than any other fanbase on earth

Browns fans are pissed at this firing.
The Browns front office expects a coach to turn a team from chicken shit to chicken salad in a year and that is just impossible, I feel sad for fans that have to sit through this shit show honestly.

They really should change their mascot to the Steamers. Would be fitting.

I'd like to go back to the mid 1990s and ask them 'are you sure you want an NFL team again?'

Not certain I agree with Detroit firing Schwartz. He was doing a pretty good job considering it is Detroit. Stafford has a pretty bad 2nd half to the season
