Playing for the second time since Christmas, South Carolina (5-6) cruised to a 78-45 win in today's rematch with Akron (6-5) at Colonial Life Arena behind a stellar day from senior guard Brent Williams who tied a career-high in 3-pointers (6) and field goal attempts (17) as he led all scorers with 24 points.

Only Akron, I know....but we looked better tonight than I've seen us look in years.  Unselfish, hustled, tough defense, Brenton Williams was bombing 3's and our guys actually thought to make that extra pass to feed him after the first few....again, only Akron but I am pretty excited about the direction the team is headed if the Hawaii tourney and tonight are any indication.

We're young but I don't think we're the automatic W for the SEC anymore....Thornwell continues to impress me as well - dude can play ball.

Let me get this straight. We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and will be fined for if we don't, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts itself from it, signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese and financed by a country that's broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

It was fun game to be at.  We have the talent to be a good team.  We just need to get seasoned.
