Looks like almost a done deal. Penn State looks a lot better than when he first got there. Wonder if Mullen gets a look here. He was rumored last time but the scandal scared a lot of people off.

From PA and has repeatedly said that Penn State is his dream job.  I don't think they'll go after him, though.

It'd piss Penn State fans off, but MSU is a much better job than PSU these days

Not a hundred percent sure, but I know they were saying that when his name popped up the first time...

Pretty sure that isn't even a real quote by him, much less multiple times.
Internet rumorz for teh win.

I hope Penn State takes Al Golden.
Miami would probably make the worst hire imaginable.

I think it's just propaganda based solely that he grew up in Pa.

Every article written about Mullen and psu has stated that it's his dream job. Where they got that, I have no clue

It wouldn't be a bad move for him. His welcome at State seems to wearing thin, though beating the bears probably bought him some more time. PSU is still going to have limited options. So they could forgive him having a down year. I imagine Franklins name will pop up in this search too.  Could be a good match for him as I seem to remember he has some roots in the area.

His patience isn't wearing thin with the fans only with the bulldog analysts which are comparing him to elite programs coaching.
