As bad of a job Grant has done - and this certainly is his fault too - I have to say that there's not one player on this team I'd call a legitimate offensive weapon other than Releford.

I've never seen a team have so many 4-5 min scoring droughts and miss so many uncontested shots. Bottom line is we have a team that is composed of mostly average players. I want to see us bring in a Richard Hendrix type of talent. Mo Williams. Hell, Alonzo Gee. Do you guys see any players on this roster, outside of Releford, getting drafted/making an NBA roster in their future?

We don't recruit like Kentucky, but we pull our fair share of blue chip. The problem is keeping them here and developing them. How many transfers did we have at the end of last year? I think Lacey is a great example of talent wasted and he wanted to go to a team where he could be developed for the NBA.

If we didn't have Releford I would be shocked if we scored 25 points a game. No not really but we are struggling for some shooters. The talent isn't UK talent but players like Jacobs, Cooper, Randolph, and Taylor aren't bad at all theyre just not developed.

If I remember correctly Randolph and Lacey were very sought after players coming out of HS. Lacey transfers and I haven't been impressed by Randolph yet.

"I didn't come to Alabama to win 10 games a year and be a contender. I came here to win championships, Conference Championships, and National Championships. I love it here because that's not just what I want, but what this fan base expects." -Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban

Levi has been one of the most consistent dependable players over the last couple of years.............I'm not giving Grant too much of a break but his job got more difficult with Lacey transferring and us losing Pollard (weird ass crime)

I don't think he's going anywhere.

I hope we land Jackson Davis. We need a true rebounding threat in the worst way. Devin Mitchell and Riley Norris both can shoot. Couple that with the emerging Shannon Hale and a year of development for Jimmie Taylor and maybe we won't be as bad offensively. I think Coleman will at worst be a solid PG in terms of ball distribution. Obviously he won't be anywhere near the scorer/impact player that Releford was...at least I don't expect him to be...but he'll probably better at controlling the offense.

Expectations for next season? Who knows...but anything less than a punched Dance ticket and I think we'd have to bite the big bullet on his contract buyout. I think next year's recruiting class *could* make a difference and elevate the program...think Grant finally realizes he has to oversign to keep up with the Joneses. Attrition has murdered us the past few years.

And for fawk's sake, please win a freaking road/neutral site game. Only two Division 1 teams didn't do it this year...the Cornell Big Red...and yours truly...the Crimson Tide.

Bill Battle backing Anthony Grant is without a doubt strike one in my book.

First losing season in 14 years and the most losses in 45. I realize he has a positive record of 99-51 but winning in the regular season means absolutely nothing. You can't tell me Bama doesn't have the money, not committing to our basketball program is more like it here.

If there aren't serious offensive philosophy changes this season, this may be an easy firing before the season is even over. But it will all be too late if Pearl is off the market...he's easily the best option I see out there.

If Pearl hires Auburn Auburn hires Pearl, one of two things will happen.

It'll either motivate our athletic department/program to invest and compete at a national level to keep up with our in-state rival, prompting either a Grant firing or overhaul of staff changes...

Or our program will become the 'new Auburn' and fade into obscurity for the next 6-8 years, and regularly finish anywhere from 12th-14th in the SEC each season.

Right now I am afraid that Grant is going to be allowed to stick around for a while yet. It makes no sense to anyone, but lots of decisions are made every day that make no sense.
