I'm just glad to know that UGA is the ONLY team in the nation that had an injury this year.  That's just not fair for you.

JD

Only uf had as many injuries to their top ten players as Uga did.

Before all the injuries you had a loss to narrow Clemson and a narrow win over LSU. North Texas was down 7 at the half, SC was tied at the half. Not very dominant, in fact your ranking at the time was based on beating LSU and where you were over hyped in the preseason. Your D was more than suspect and in a tourney of the top 16 teams on a neutral site you likely get bounced in the 1st round.

You and mizzou seem to be trading off responses almost as if you are the same irrational person.

Ranking was based off of a respectable loss to clemson and respectable wins over sc and lsu, all 3 of whom finished in the top 15. Our d was about as good as au, Clemson, Lsu and sc d's If head to head proves anything. We had a powerful offense before injuries hit.

You never did address how lucky ut was to even be in position to win the Uga game.

I didn't address it because it was luck.

Ut was lucky to get to face the same Uga backup skill players that vandy and mizzou go to face. When we had our guys, Uga was winning 17-3. The game changed soon after.

Your shitty special teams (not luck, they have been a steaming pile for years) and the lack of conditioning of UGA players is why UT was in a position to win that game. A bad time out and bad luck on an effort play are why uga won. Uga couldn't handle the pace and were gassed and out of sync.

Nearly every article you will read about UGA's record this year will note our injuries, its not a homerish thing to bring up injuries as a reason we didn't do well. Everyone also knows UF wouldn't have had the record they had if they wouldn't have had the losses they did. I'm sure everyone agrees SC would have done better if Clowney would've changed out his maxipad

Yeah everyone has injuries but very few teams have them to the extent that UGA and UF did this year.

Giving up a st td is not bad luck, but only the most clueless of homers would ignore a team Being down to 3rd and 4th string rb's and wr's, which you are doing. The dropoff from gurley to Douglas and scott-wesley to mcgowan is as wide as the Grand Canyon.

It's quite hilarious your team still couldn't take advantage of such a lucky situation to be in. Thankfully our safety put enough pressure on pig to force the situation that led to his fumble, but it's doubtful y'all stop Murray in ot anyways. Kid owned ut in his career, and was clutch in 2013 as he proved over and over.

Not trying to parade UGA as the best in the East.... just pointing out it looks like most will already have us as a favorite. Yes I know we were a favorite last year and did terrible.... but I'm just answering the OP

Why cant you acknowledge the impact of the injuries UGA suffered in 2013?

Injuries to the WR corp? Mostly because they were not unique to last year. Mitchell has been injured every year he has been in Athens and in 2012 you had the same number of WRs injuries. So that leaves Marshal that hasn't lived up to the hype, Murray that missed 1 regular season game and Gurley and his trick ankle. So your injury situation that was unique to 2013 was Gurley. And Gurley didn't play D or special teams.

The east will be interesting between UGA, USC and Mizzou.

I have "HIGH" expectations for DGB though.

Injuries to both top rb's and to 3 top wr's all at the same time is nothing but bad luck. That was a unique situation to last year, and the dropoff was huge from those guys to their replacements. Lsu and sc weren't lucky enough to face that impotent Uga team, while ut, mizzou, and vandy were.

UGA has lost its "top" WRs 3 years in a row. It wasn't unique to 2013. Marshal is a borderline bust at this point and the drop off from him to Green and Douglas is minimum at best. Gurley still doesn't play D or ST.

Quit pretending UGA is better than they were. Its insulting and reflects poorly on you. UGA lacked discipline and leadership and doesn't develop its talent very well along with piss poor roster management and piss poor non game day coaching issue is why UGA will never do more than they are now under CMR not voodoo or luck.

No, you are wrong. Uga has never been hit like that by injuries. We had our #1 and #2 wr in Tavares king and mitchell, plus our rbs, so only 2 top players out in the past.

Fast forward to 2013, 5 top guys out for ut, mizzou, and vandy. Thats unique,  and a fact you cannot refute. Result was scoring went down big time, which is another fact you cannot refute. Reasonable posters would acknowledge the cause and effect.

Before that, Uga was ranked #6 in the nation after beating two very respected sec teams. That's not pretending but rather reality. Reasonable posters would acknowledge that accomplishment.
