Now for the other perspective

His QB is leaving
The only school that could match or beat Alabama in money is about to have a coaching vacancy
And most importantly, he just lost the chance to three-peat

It's the perfect storm

Breaking news:  Sexton has been contacted by two anonymous SEC boosters with an offer to kick in an additional $3m to sweeten the Saban to Texas deal.

At some point are schools going to avoid hiring coaches who have jimmy sexton as an agent? Dude takes them to the cleaners!

Let's see:

Both places have buckets of money, so that's a wash.
Both places have state of the art facilities, so that's a wash.
He can sit in a massive house by a lake in Alabama just as easy as he can in Austin.
One is a well oiled machine running without problems, the other is a project to some degree.
Wife thinks he's under appreciated by fans in Alabama, Mack Brown is facing the same type of critics in Austin. Wash.

I think he stays in Alabama.

AJ seems to think he will stay.

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama — Over the past five years, AJ McCarron and Nick Saban have developed a close bond.

Now that McCarron's preparing for his final game with the Crimson Tide, speculation surrounds Saban and his future with the school. The senior quarterback was on SportsCenter on Thursday morning and the topic came up.

"I don't think Miss Terry would allow him," McCarron said of Saban's wife. "Miss Terry is happy there and I always joke with coach about Miss Terry runs the house. But coach loves it there and I don't see coach trying to go to another program and built it all back up. He did that at Alabama, first at LSU, now at Alabama. I think coach is happy where he's at."

McCarron also said he asked Saban about these rumors "a while back."

"He told me he wasn't going anywhere and the man's never lied to me in the five years I've been there," McCarron said. "Like I've always said, he's like a second dad to me. I don't see why he would leave or lie to me."

I think it comes down to "further a legacy" vs "too damn old".

I can't see him going.  I don't see how Texas is a bigger or better job than Bama...  If he decides to go, it will only be for the "challenge" of rebuilding Texas...

Where did Zarty get that kind of money.  He's a liberal, so I know he doesn't have that kind of change to sling around even if it is to rid the SEC of Saban.
