Every Conference championship should be trashed and that week should be used as the first round of a 8 team playoff. Conference title should be given according to record.

Or the conference championship games are already the first round of the tournament.  The conferences aren't going to give up the money from the games.  Only a relatively small amount of teams have lost a CCG and missed out on the BCSNCG (Kansas State 98, Tennessee 01, Texas 01, Missouri 07, Ohio State 13).  Its not broke.
