I can't find any link or Vandy website that details what their allotment of tickets is but I'm going to assume they are being given the same amount of tickets that Ole Miss was given when they played in the BBVA Compass Bowl last year.  According to this website, Ole Miss was given an allotment of 10,000 tickets last year so lets assume thats what was given to Vandy this year.  If they can sell out that many tickets, then I will concede to some of your points.  If you can't... well we are back to square one.

You're getting to be as creative as some State fans now. /s

Hey, guess what Hogan? I'm hearing that the Franklin High School Rebels are also considering changing to the Franklin High Black Bears.
How does that make you feel?
Well, since our school has been there over 100 years...not gonna happen in our community...next question?

I have also heard this, I have also heard that neither the Liberty nor the Compass wanted vandy and they were close to sending them off to some other bowl before Slive got pissed.
Don't think that is true...Compass was very excited about Vandy...Compass gets a SEC team, they get excited!! Rumor , not truth

That is Vandy's allotment and they will sell that very very easily!

I sympathize with Vandy fans we got screwed out of a BCS bowl in 2007 but since then we have gone crazy with selling out our bowl games... That's the only way to fix the problem and Vandy has to do it.
2013 SEC EAST CHAMPS.... M-I-Z!!!!

Hang in their Hogan, just as Mark said in the post above Mizzou literally got screwed out of a BCS game in 2007 because of this perception so now the fanbase is pretty adamant about buying up tickets...I definitely think being in SEC helps matters a lot... Nonetheless, congrats on Vandy's success, it is well deserved.

Vandy did no deserve to go over Uga, sc, Lsu, or anm. Options were kind of limited in reality.

@Hoganknows as has been said, if you, or Vandy as a whole, thinks the ACC better serves its schools, then why not just ditch the SEC in lieu of that conference? Vandy would be a very good fit in the ACC. Great academics, great baseball program, and your football program would probably be near the top every year.

Plus...there would be no exit penalty if Vandy were to leave the SEC

So, is that what you're advocating?

Virginia Tech could fill their void quite nicely, in addition to them having a large tv market, which is what Slippery Slive is after.
