ITT- people complaining because Auburn is still paying Chizik due to large contract that was offered after one good season

ITT- people pumped up about giving Malzahn a large contract after one good season

sounds legit

If it wasn't for Malzahn, Chizik would've had 0 good seasons.

It's a different situation, if you can't see that then you're crazy. You think he still deserves to be one of the lowest paid coaches in the SEC?

I'd agree with that, except for Rhett Lashlee.

Meh, let him feel needed. But I do love the fact we never have to worry about an offensive coordinator.
They have mentioned Rhett going back to Ark St as head man because of that coach taking some other job somewhere.

You talking about Malzahn or Rhett? I get the Malzahn hate but why Rhett? He's just another Kirby Smart.

Don't you mean "if it wasn't for being able to buy a QB, then Chizik would've had 0 good seasons".

I don't really care what Auburn does with their money....I just thought it was funny that Chizik had one good season and got a shit ton of money, and now after two insane plays to keep Auburn's dream season alive they throw a ton of money at their current HC. If Malzahn is the kind of guy who would leave after one season, then he's the kind of guy who doesn't care what's in his contract as long as someone else can top it.

So you think the raise was not warranted?

It's perfectly fine to give him a raise, but 6 years was is too long after 1 season IMO.

Maybe so but he already had a 5 year deal.

It wasn't worth as much money.  Apples and oranges + he only had 4 remaining right?

Yea your right, but if we didn't tie him up and he left for a better offer we would be in shit shape and folks would say we are stupid for not paying the man. It's a double edged sword.
