They looked really solid today for the most part against Nigeria. Attacked very well and created a lot of opportunities, defended very well up until the end. A number of substitutions though so I don't give Nigeria much credit for their goal.

Altidore's last goal really was impressive, hope that gives him some much needed confidence. Even though he's pretty stoic about not being phased much by his 27 straight games without a goal.

Fabian Johnson has pretty much solidified his right back spot. Chandler sucks. Beasley, even though he's not great at defending, has the hustle to make up for it. Plus he's still a speedy guy who can make runs in the wings.

Good showing against Nigeria, even though I only caught the second half. Heard my brother bitching about us not being able to keep possession in the 1st. Michael Bradley has become the key player in the whole field for us, and he needs to have a good WC for us to get out of stage.

we need a draw in the  Portugal and Ghana match. Germany has got some injury issues so that helps us.

Overall I'll be the odd man out and take Argentina or Belgium.  Phuck Brazil.

Brazil wins first game 3-1. It was 1-1 at the half with a Brazil own goal and a weak ass shot Neymar made. Then Brazil flopped for a PK which Neymar took and scored, and they added a garbage goal on the 90' minute.

BTW, worst dive ever. How the hell did the ref call that... AND give a yellow. Disgusting.

It would be easy to argue all 4 goals never should have happened.  Croatia's goalie was like a tree toppling over.

Think of it as a countdown.  SEC media days start the day after the final.

Mexico wins 1-0. With 2 disallowed goals on bullPosted Image offsides calls. These refs have not been too good.

Currently Netherlands SPANKING Spain. 4-1 in the 77th minute. Ridiculous. Who expected this. I kinda knew Spain was gonna be in trouble in the first half cause they weren't their usual with 60-65% possession, but the wheels have fallen off in the 2nd half. Casillas, one of the best keepers in the world, misplays a ball leading to Netherland's 4th goal.

I think it's Spain who has a lot of weathered veterans on their team that this might be their last hoorah.
