Some of the renderings is out, looks pretty good. Basically tearing it all down and building a new stadium.

LONG overdue. I'm glad they're basically rebuilding the stadium in the same location. I love where it's at...it's just aesthetics/construction wise it was basically the same as it was in the mid 90s. This looks top-notch though and should move us from being possibly the worst baseball stadium in the SEC into at least the mid-pack/upper half.

The Coca-Cola Porch and grassy tiered seating in the outfield are nice touches. Gives it some character yet keeps that comfy college baseball type feel. The 'old' Joe had absolutely nothing that stood out, really. I like the canopy, too, should help with attendance numbers on those sweltery humid day games.

The Bryce location was discussed, but we won't even go into the horrors of what must be done there still. The soil isn't exactly "legal" to build on right now.

And the concourse/exterior is freaking great. Has the same type of brick/concrete contrast w/ arching that we have at BDS, Coleman and on the Sarah Patterson Champions Plaza. Really fits perfectly with the rest of the campus landmarks, as opposed to looking like a cheaper glorified high school field stuck in the middle of everything newer/nicer.

Looks nice. If only I cared about baseball though.
