I just don't know for sure because Gus is the only one to do it.

It's been done. Research would show you that.

to be fair, its 2 or 3 that make the rest look bad. There are several solid AU posters.

HFS, Vader, Fidy on the good poster side.  Am I missing anyone?  I'd say 2 or 3 solid posters and several that make them look bad.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

By an SEC coach recently? I'd be interested to see proof there if you've done the "Research", aka google.

We won't have to stack the box, our athletes are better. Read the first sentence, Auburn won't have over 175. Bet anything you want, it's not gonna happen. That's the one thing Bama can do without a doubt 100% mark it down, and have been for years.

If you're going to bet, it will be longer than signing day. This is a rivalry that lasts 365 days, you would have to at least keep it until next football season or this isn't even worth mentioning. Besides, Bama could be winning late in the game and the scrubs get the 200.
Either way, it won't be happening to Bama's defense.

Eh, Malzahn is just riding on Chizik's recruits.

I know its happened. I'm not the one who needs to do research because I really don't care. I was just noting the fact that Malzahn has not done anything unprecedented in the history of college football in regards to Auburn's record.

Malzahn is the man, just like Chizik was.  Let's just forget that he had 3 years to recruit kids for that system.  Why are you acting like he's only one season removed from auburn.  Are you not impressed?  This is the shit of legend, pay attention!

May the bridges I burn light the way.

I wasn't even going to bring up the fact that they treat him like he was never there and recruited 90% of their offense when he was there previously. Everyone knew, except for Auburn fans, that Auburn was going to be bad last year without Malzahn.

But as many teams and seasons as there have been in college football, I'm quite sure that there has been a coach that has come in first year as head coach and produced 6-7 more wins than the previous coach. To say its never been done is pretty far fetched.

But yeah June Jones improved Hawaii by 9 wins in his first season. He did that in 1999 and had not been associated with the university in any capacity since 1983 before that. So he did not have the luxury to say all his recruited players were not only there, but also one year older in experience like Malzahn can say.

Oh, man, I guess I should have specified that it was in the SEC.

It's fine to have your jimmies rustled if you're a fan of another team... I probably would feel the same way if another SEC team took such a huge jump forward with a new coach.

I just don't know for sure because Gus is the only one to do it.

Oh wait, I did.

Those are Gus's players that he recruited that fit his system. So you're right in a sense, Gus is the only one that could do it. Auburn is impressive and their most impressive win was vs. aTm, but the next 2 games should be pretty interesting. Should be an epic Iron bowl.
