I lived over seas for a while. I learned I had a lot of food loves. I missed spaghetti, popeyes chicken, gumbo, baked trout, broiled snapper, big thick hamburgers, tacos, shrimp, crawfish, and so much more they didn't have. their beef tasted like it was maryjaynated in bullPosted Image. their idea of seafood was no better than capt d. lamb was all they had worth a Posted Image and that got old fast. well, they did have good liver pate but come on! how many times can you eat that and not have a fart last two blocks?

I'm in New York right now.  Needless to say I'm already missing some of my Kentucky favorites.

Also I learned that beer cheese is apparently a Kentucky thing.  Do y'all not have beer cheese everywhere?

I made shrimp/duck gumbo for last night. As for the lamb what makes yall think they used spices on it over there? bland bland bland.

now sometimes food is better depending on where you are. take a can of sardines for example. open that can in your house and it will gross you and everybody in the house out. open that can while starving on a duck hunt and everybody in the blind may want one on a cracker. another example is fried chicken. if you have a skinny flat butt you can't fry chicken. yo butt has got to have some round to it. it doesn't have to be huge but it can't be a runway model butt.

I'm going to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo for lunch to tomorrow.  The place where buffalo wings were invented.  It'll be nice to cross that off the list.  Pretty stoked.
