I think it's safe to say Henderson did as much as any other OM player to cause them to lose that game.

Now if you're a Henderson Homer and/or didn't watch the game, you'd scream indignantly, "Are you crazy, he scored 18 points!!!".

But it's true; in the first half, when OM needed to keep it close to have any chance, he was downright terrible on offense, and even worse on defense... he was just standing around the whole half.

OM was already down by 20+ and out of the game by the time he started playing ball, and UK had relaxed its coverage of him anyway.

Dykes said it best, commenting on MH in the 2nd half after he hit a 3, "This guy scores more worthless points than any other college player today."; essentially pointing out that a lot of his points and hot shooting come after the game is already lost and opposing defenses have let up some.

Admittedly, he has spurred some comebacks in his time at OM; but he can also be an extremely lazy player, and that doesn't always show up in the stat line... if you didn't watch the game and only read the box score the next morning, you might mistakenly think he did all he could to get the win and just came up short.

What was he doing in the first half? On some offensive possession dude was just standing back watching the game.. it wasn't a case of him standing around on a hot spot looking for a kick out either he was just casually watching like a fan.
"I didn't come to Alabama to win 10 games a year and be a contender. I came here to win championships, Conference Championships, and National Championships. I love it here because that's not just what I want, but what this fan base expects." -Alabama Head Football Coach Nick Saban

Oh no, we're well aware those things existed before the '90's. We're also aware that nobody in the SEC, except UK, really gave 2 Posted Images about basketball prior to the '90's... basketball success was kind of regarded as a nice consolation prize for team's with a poor football program.

Prior to expansion, the other 9 football-heavy SEC schools kind of treated men's basketball the same way they treat softball today; yeah, they wanted to win, but they weren't going to be too heartbroken if they lost, and weren't going to spend too much time or money trying to create a basketball juggernaut.
That'd matter if we weren't busy raping everyone nationally too. You guys just had/have the honor of getting it more often.

Probably the only rapes in history that are good memories.

It's pretty tough to win when the second the game gets close they start calling every little thing on us while letting poythress and randall push off down low.

That's a tough loss for us tonight, most of the players sat around in the gym for hours afterwards, they know how bad this hurts, now we have to win out and have some things happen for us to have a chance at the ncaa tourney.

This shouldn't have been a do-or-die game for OM.
Kennedy sucks.

Kennedy sucks.
This has been Kennedy's best coached year by far though, he has done a great job with Posted Imagety players. We literally only have 2 consistently good players and only one senior. I'm not mad at Kennedy, he has done absolutely fine and is the best coach in our school history, I'm more mad at our complete lack of effort early, and I bet you that Kennedy is absolutely pissed too.
And yes, I am a Kennedy supporter, because I honestly don't see us being able to hire a coach much better than him.

You wouldn't be able to hire a PROVEN coach better than him.
Roll the dice.
No high major school should ever lose to Mercer. And Dayton is not even good this year.

I will say that I hate Marshall Henderson a little less this morning.
He was the only one trying to break up the pending fight last night.

I've been telling you, the dude has been a real leader this year, even if he still throws up crazy shots. He kinda has to be, being the only senior on the team.
And Kennedy got a major raise after last year too, he ain't going anywhere soon, whether that is fortunate or unfortunate we have yet to see.

He's 100% less crazy this year, I'll give him that.
Still needs to be a better player. I don't get it, he definitely could be better.

The problem is, he has to hit crazy threes every single game. We have seen him make great passes. play decent defense, but he has to shoot threes because we don't have enough depth or firepower to stay in a game without him.

He probably needs to hit a lot of 3s, but half of them don't have to be ridiculously low percentage shots.
He can create his own shots, but he seems way too impatient.
I would try to slow the game down if I'm OM.

We aren't a half-court team, though. That's the issue, the players we are bringing in next year are more exciting three point shooters too, so that ain't changing any time soon.
