Sorry @JoeGator for the RPI hit you'll take by playing us this Saturday. We'll try to keep it within 40.

We are very slow paced this year, so I don't think we'll see any major blowouts.
Except for when we beat Tennessee. Haha. Pigs.

If Counzo does get fired it's gonna make the UT job very unappealing to any competant coach. I know UT is opperating in the red but there's no doubt Pearl would take his job back for pennies if offered. Never gonna happen of course.

He's Auburn bound

Why would firing an incompetent coach make the job unappealing to competent ones?

It's not like they're firing him after 1 year of sucking; I think this is his 3rd year and he's still never made the tourney.

Well it wasn't a very appealing job to begin with after the way Pearl left. Counzo was their 3rd choice if im not mistaken and they weren't exactly shooting high. I doubt they were hell bent on hiring a coach that hasn't ever been to the tourney to begin with.

If/when they do fire Counzo you honestly believe a promising coach from any D1 school is gonna take the job? Back to hiring an appalacian st. type coach.

The reason they were crippled for the last hire and got stuck with Gonzo is because of the sanctions and show-cause order; by the time they get around to hiring a new guy those penalties will have nearly expired... they may have to let him have 1 more year, as their probation ends in August of 2015.

They get decent talent and rank in the Top 10 in attendance even when they suck; so I see no reason why they couldn't attract a good coach this time around.

They're too busy paying 3 ex football coaches and an ex basketball coach to afford anyone decent.

I think the donut clause is still in effect, could be wrong, but the free donuts were the most expensive part of the payoff.

Don't quote me on this, may be hearsay or rumor started by some bored poster somewhere on this site in lower Arkansas or something like that.

Somebody needs to hire Pearl, the dude is good, has energy and if his transgression is feeding a recruit a hotdog, though he denied it,then I'd hire him.

I know deceit is a red flag, but this was small tators compared to other infractions and I have to believe he won't do it again.

It's not like the lie Petrino told.

But maybe there's some things I'm not aware of.
