Well, looks like Kentucky will be getting two straight losses.

I hope so.  I figure Uk comes in pissed.  Hopefully we don't let down after the win tonight...

Seriously though, if we don't Posted Image up tomorrow vs Tennessee and we also take care of business vs USCe then we're gonna be marching into Rupp ahead of them in the standings and ready to put up a fight.

Good win for LSU. The foul and bomb 3 regimen at the end made the score look a lot closer than the game actually was.

There have been a couple times this year when I've watched UK play, and they looked a little more like a collection of individuals building a resume than a cohesive unit with a common goal.

And there have been a couple instances when UK started out slow and teams have gotten early leads; but it always looked like at some point an alarm went off in the UK players' heads reminding them they shouldn't be losing, and they stepped it up a notch... looked like the alarm just never went off tonight.

I actually kept expecting Cal to use it as a teaching opportunity about playing with urgency and intensity; do some wholesale subbing; and tell his entitled starters to find pine.

Have a feeling it's going to be a long and unpleasant trip home.

Hey, it's something for me to be happy about during this dark period before baseball.
Just wait until we beat that ass in the tad pad later this year

I just hope that "lack of incentive/motivation" bug isn't contagious.

That defense was textbook halfass. The twins can go back to Texas for all I care right now.

We'll continue to struggle until we get a true point guard. Hopefully he's coming in the next class. I love Mike Anderson but if he doesn't get to the tourney next season, he's probably gone.

Our game in Auburn has been postponed until Thursday.

Hell, my friends, has indeed frozen over.

Its been awhile since i've seen a team play such poor defense. We basically have to outscore our opponents to win. Switching, hustling back, and communication is non existent with this group. I guess when you use this kind of system that's what you risk. I'm starting to miss experience. That kind of Posted Image doesn't happen to kids that have played for 3+ years. Noel, Davis, and MKG have become anomalies for us.

On the other hand LSU was playing lights out. Has the Bryant guy been doing this all season long? He was owning two 7 footers this game. Why is he not doing this against these 6'9 centers you see everywhere.

As for the SEC, my only concern is beating Florida so we can rub it in their face. The rest of you need to take these kind of performances to the friggin tourney first. Ultimately, the only thing that matters is how far you make it in the tournament.

Talent come overcome a lot of ills; but you know experience playing together breeds familiarity, which cuts down considerably on turnovers and mistakes... familiarity is hard to come by in only a couple of months.

You see it all the time, where an oiled machine made up of longtime teammates seem to just know instinctively where the others will be on the court at all times and what their various proclivities or habits are; it's uncanny sometimes how they just know what the others are going to do, like without a word or hand signal that their forward is going to break for the basket and an alley-oop... that kind of coordinated effort is beautiful to watch sometimes.

Also, there's a lot to be said for the family vibe that players get after having played together for a long time; those guys are often willing to go to battle for each other, the guy next to them, when other motivations are lacking.
