Sophomore left-hander Jack Wynkoop hurled 5.1 scoreless innings as the Garnet squad defeated the Black team 4-0 in game one of the Garnet and Black World Series. Freshman Weber Pike went 2-for-4 with two RBI while sophmore Marcus Mooney also went 2-for-4 with a RBI and a run scored. Game two is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Carolina Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Admission is free of charge.
