You guys sure are late to posting this one, mildly disappointed.

I assumed it had already been posted, but when I realized that it hadn't I swiftly moved to correct this oversight.

A law enforcement agency isn't going to confirm something like that for the media anyway. Law enforcement agencies generally can't stand the media and give as little as possible.
Just because the Sheriff didn't officially confirm anything doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

Exactly.

It would have been news if a law enforcement agency did indeed confirm this, but they didn't. So all we have to go on is an Austin sports talk radio show, claiming she was there.

Oh well, at least it sounded good at first.

The simple fact is we wont know if he's gonna be the Texas coach until it happens or Saban starts spring practice at Alabama. Nothing is gonna give it away before then.

Just like Saban's agent never talked to Texas during the off season, right?

Yeah, it's rare to see agents like Jimmy Sexton talking to other people.

I for one am completely shocked that the best coach in college football is being pursued by everyone. It's like, as long as Nick Saban is coaching, Jimmy Sexton's phone will be ringing. Who the hell knew?

Wait, Sexton represents Gus Malzahn, too? I didn't know that.

I still don't see why he would leave, unless the Bammers are wrong about Alabama being able to match Texas for $$$$

Bama fans are delusional. He's as good as gone. However they don't need him. I don't know of any other fanbase that can coach their players up like Bama fans.

You realize this type of shit has been rumored/announced/confirmed every year since Saban was hired, right?

This being posted pretty much confirms we get Saban for another year.

What's funny is, this is what everyone has to hang their hat to since a Saban controlled Alabama isn't gonna stop any time soon.

Will he leave? I doubt it. If he does leave, I won't be bitter. I was there for the Dubose/Fran/Shula years. I'll be eternally grateful for what he's done to the program.

I'm sure he's very intimidated by a guy with < 2 years experience as a head coach
