Man, we need another Manziel story to break. I guess it's time to write my first satire article of the year about how I paid Manziel for his autograph.

This part is pretty interesting.....

Quote

Alabama has two perceived friends in high places: Emmert and Alabama graduate Derrick Crawford, a director of enforcement for the NCAA. In the outside world, it's akin to being accused of a crime and having the charges investigated at the police station where your uncle is the police chief and your friend is the top detective.

Imagine the reaction had there been an Auburn grad working as the NCAA Director of Enforcement back in 2010.

I don't really consider a former LSU chancellor a "friend in high places".

Didn't Auburn recently hire the NCAA Director of Enforcement that decided Cam's case?

So is it gonna be a problem when Alabama hires Gene Marsh to present their case to the NCAA?

Julie Roe Lach handled the Cam case.

David Didion left Auburn to work for the NCAA. He is the one who while working for the NCAA but us on probation in basketball.
Supposedly a AAU coach was steering players to us. We had signed one of his players all-time. Alabama had signed several.

Here is where I have problems.

Mark Emmert- NCAA President- Hired Saban at LSU. Troubles have followed him where ever his has been employed.

Derrick Crawford- NCAA Director of Enforcement- Bama grad- investigates, or not

Mark Womack- SEC Executive Associate Commissioner-Bama grad (makes the schedules among other things)

Steve Shaw- SEC Coordinator of Officials- Bama grad

and of course I am not a big fan of the SEC headquarters location.

So the NCAA Director of Enforcement returns to Auburn once Cam is cleared and according to you that's above suspicion, however, it's a conflict of interest if it were a different school?

Seriously?

You can't have it both ways.

if anything, because of the percieved bias, there would be additional scrutiny in the handling of any Alabama matters

plus like someone said, why would an ex LSU chancellor want to help Alabama?
