Probably the most fun that I ever had was coaching them.
My son went out for football at 10 years old and I watched. Team didn't win a game. The same players had the same head coach the next year and I asked could I coach DE's which I played in high school. (The DC was horrible) Before the season started he made me DC. We went 6-4.
My scariest moment was neck injury a kid got in a game and he could not move anything when the ambulance came. Come to find out the kid had a real narrow spine and could have been paralyzed for life. To this day I have nightmares about that!
If you do get multiple chances in life. Instead of a Engineering degree, I will coach football next time. I like watching film and coming up with game plans. To me it is like chess with an attitude.
The reason I posted Western Carolina weights. I have coached teams that were physically over-matched and it is not a lot of fun and the fear for the safety of your kids is overwhelming!
