GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida senior defensive tackle Dominique Easley indicated Wednesday that he might miss the remainder of the season after suffering a knee injury in practice.

Kim Klement/USA TODAY SportsFlorida defensive tackle Dominique Easley injured his right knee during a non-contact drill in practice Tuesday, coach Will Muschamp said.

Easley indicated on his Twitter page Wednesday that he's done for the year: "Gatornation thank you for all of 4 yrs of sticking with me but god has something else planned for and have no worries #believe."
Coach Will Muschamp, however, said Wednesday on the Southeastern Conference coaches call that Easley "tweaked" his right knee during a non-contact drill Tuesday and that "we think he'll be fine. We just need more information right now."
Easley has four quarterback hurries and two tackles for loss this season for the No. 20 Gators. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in 2011.
Florida plays at Kentucky on Saturday.

I was just about to post about this. This could be real bad news for our defense if it is a season ending injury. He has been playing his best football since he has been at UF this year, IMO. In Dante Fowlers news conference Monday, he directly attributed his SEC POTW performance to Easley being a disruption in the middle

We'd definitely need somebody to step up to even marginally make up for the loss of Easley, if he is indeed done for the year.

Hoping for the best, but injuries are a part of football, and this is just another hit to an already injury-riddled team.

I think I read that Muschamp said he only "tweaked it" so it shouldn't be that serious

He's a hell of a player, hope its nothing too serious.

UF will still be more than ok on defense

He's done. ACL tear. Muschamp was either lying or just being an idiot in saying it was just a tweak before they knew.

Or maybe Easely tweeted before Muschamp was informed.
Nah, that would make too much sense.

Why would you tell the media that he's fine before you knew? Because he's a clown.

More wins over Top10 teams in the last 2 years than Richt has had in the last 6 years.

Would indicate Richt pisses the bed a lot.
