Don't worry. He's banned from our thread. The day a Barner has anything intelligent to add about basketball will be the day pigs fly.

A small part of me feels bad for him. UK swallowed him whole and he was doing a great job at aTm where expectations were low and there was no spot light on him. He got scared here and dealed with it by getting wasted all the time.

edit. lol just figured out you were talking about donovan and were just being sarcastic.

Oubre commits to Kansas. I'm not to confident in this next class tbh. Hopefully some players stay another year

I don't.  One of the guys who played under him worked for me for a bit.  Some of the stuff he told me....Billy Clyde's a real piece of.........work.......yeah......work's the word.

He really did go crazy. Have no idea where the whole abusing players came from. Maybe Kentucky bourbon is just too strong for him.

Now they're saying Duke will land the top class, ending Cal's streak.

Hey Cal much like Saban will NOT get the #1 class every year.....there are going to be down cycles, and by down I mean top 10 class (still nothin to cough at lol).  It is just a natural phenomenom.....I love Bama football and believe Saban to be the best college coach since the Bear....not to mention I believe it to be much harder to win consecutive championships (in fact NC's period) in this day and age versus when the Bear coached. There were far fewer high calibre players so he didn't nearly have the competition to deal with as Saban does. You had maybe 5-10 teams that truly had a real chance a winning it all.

Believe me I'm not taking anything away from the Bear or what he accomplished.....that would be blasphemy.. he still had to find the talent, develop it and put it all together as a team, which he was phenomenal at...the Best, I mean shoot in 8 yrs at UK he won a SEC championship as they were 11-1 and beat Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl..unfortunately the AP voted for the Champ before the bowl games were played. UK beat Oklahoma and had they voted after the games, the Bear and UK win the Nat'l Champ. as both finished 11-1 but UK beat em. In the Bear's 8 seasons at UK, he was 60-23-6, before the Bear got there, under the previous coach they were 17-27-3, so he didn't inherit a winner by any means.

I guess in a nutshell, I'm saying all programs suffer a little drop in recruiting after several years of being in the top 3. So Cal may be fixing to have that little recruiting drop...nothing huge, but not top 3, couple years of that and poof! Cal/ Saban are right back at top in recruiting. I'm not worried as I know most Bama fans won't worry when they have their dip below the top 3.
