Why do y'all say that UT will be bowl eligible this year? They weren't last year and they lost a lot on offense. They lost Bray and their top 4 receivers.

Better D and running the ball will games for UT. UT has 5-6 4* WR on the roster so the talent to replace departed guys with SEC caliber guys is there just not the experience. Better OLine and Dline with a solid LB corp and 2 above average safeties and a new mindset on D will be enough to beat the bottom of our schedule.

4-8. Gonna be great seeing Vandy and Kentucky beat that ass back to back.

4-8. Historical season. First ut team to lose more than 7 games in a season. First one to have 4 consecutive losing seasons.

To never have done either of those is hard to believe, and a tip of the cap to that program for that. But IMO,both fall this year. As for the first(7 games), no other 1A school can say that about themselves. Haven't checked out the second, and don't intend to do so, but I doubt there are any others that have been playing over 100 years that can say that about the 4 straight losing seasons

They drop Mississippi State but they also add Auburn. I just don't see them being bowl eligible.
Home game vs Auburn will be much more winnable than road game vs MSU

7-5 , we have brutal schedule, but if you remember we did'nt have any coaches last year, and as terrible as our defense was we were one play away from beating Missouri, Georgia and South Carolina last year.

UT hasnt lost to UK and Vandy in the same year since 1964. It aint going happen again any time soon. UK and Vandy have 2 of the worst Olines in the SEC. (the bottom 4 are Mizzu, UK, Auburn and Vandy not in that order) Neither has a scary O or D. Neither UK or Vandy are going to beat UT this year and there is no way in hell both could.

Remember the last 5-6 times you've done this and how it's ended, Puddin? Save yourself the pain.

I just don't think Butch is going to be the answer in Knoxville.  He wasn't all that great at Cincinnati...I still don't know why you guys hired him. UT SHOULD be able to get a higher caliber coach.  Yes, he's recruiting his tail off, but so did Kiffin.  You guys lost alot from a team that wasn't worth 2 cents to begin with.  It's not unreasonable for me to think that we will win this year in Commonwealth.  We have an actual competent coaching staff now.  We also have plenty of roster issues, but for once, this isn't just wild hubris on my part.  We're both going to suck this season and both fan bases know that next year is when things will start looking brighter.

I guess you did'nt watch espn college football the other day where They rated Butch Jones no. 8 head football coach who has football strategy in the nation. He has won everywhere he has coached! We all have the right to be optimistic, it's been a long 5 yrs. As for the Fulmer question he was on a downhill slide, heck he still has'nt landed a coach job!
