According to polls showing Obama getting more and more popular, the recent scandal-palooza gripping the nation's capital is a big yawn for voters and a big 'whoopsy-daisy' for Republicans.
Liberal Democrats are now openly tauntingconservative Republicans' cries of "Scandals!" by terming the IRS, Benghazi, and AP wiretapping investigations 'scam-dals' that will end up making Republicans themselves look paranoid and angry.
Republicans ripped for Benghazi witch hunts
According to a CNN poll that queried respondents last Friday and Saturday, 53% of Americans now approve of Obama's job performance, representing a 2% jump in Obama's approval rating from last month -- before Republicans began what many Americans consider partisan witch hunts against Obama and against Hillary Clinton's 2016 aspirations.
Said CNN polling director Keating Holland about the stunning results:
But CNN's is not the only poll showing Obama's approval rising during what the press has flogged -- apparently erroneously -- as Obama's 'worst week'. Gallup's tracking poll also showed Obama's approval rating ticking up.
"That two-point difference is well within the poll's sampling error...Nonetheless, an approval rating that has not dropped and remains over 50% will probably be taken as good news by Democrats after the events of the last week."
Poitico, a favorite insider rag of D.C. types, breathlessly opined last week that the scandals represent the point at which D.C. has turned on Obama. Regular Americans outside of the Beltway bubble, however, do not seem to share the elites' hostility towards the President this country re-elected less than a year ago.
