Very good matchup. Wisconsin should be at full-strength in year three of Gary Andersen's tenure. I'd say we'll be top five and Wiscy probably top 15 or so.

The Jerry World games are a great venue. It also gives great exposure to Texas and their athletes coming up.Not close to home, but a win, program wise.

I wish it could be home and home, though.
Bama had only 2015 and 2018 open in the immediate future and didn't want to do a split year series. The link makes it sound as if Bama is looking to schedule neutral site games only but that is not the case. Bama had a H/H series with GT scheduled in 2013 and 2014. GT bought out leaving Bama very little time and few options for those years. The games in Atlanta evolved from an attempt to play USC there and USC chickened out. The Atlanta Sports Council had a tentative agreement with them to play in either 2013 or 2014(USC's choice). At the time the USC preferred opponent was Bama, thus the ASC was negotiating with Bama for both years because they didn't know which year USC would choose. All of that went out the window with the HC/AD changes at USC. Bama wound up being contracted for both years. VT in 2013. WVU in 2014.
The initial talks with Wisconsin failed because they wanted a split year (2015 and 2018) H/H series and Bama was not receptive to that. And Wisconsin (read Bielema) was not receptive to the single neutral site game. When BB brain left for Arkansas, the talks resumed with Alvarez and the deal was done. Bama has a H/H with Michigan State scheduled for 2016 and 2017. 2018 remains open.
