if he was merely stating that he believes he can win a championship at Clemson, then why did he even mention a conference that Clemson is not in?
Still waiting on you to look up what you agreed to.
Lol, I said I'd do it right after you showed me where he said the SEC was inferior to the ACC, which you haven't done. Because he didn't say it. So I won't be doing that for you.
He mentioned the SEC because he RECRUITS against the SEC. Geography not a strong point for y'all? Which schools are closest to Clemson? Hint: they aren't ACC schools. The University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina are the two closest rivals, both of which play in the SEC. Hell, in just a bit wider radius is the University of Tennessee, University of Auburn and University of Alabama. And you're daft if you think that the recruiting pitch from those schools when going up against Clemson for a recruit isn't - "hey kid, listen, you want to play in the SEC and compete for national championships, right?" The implication being that playing in the SEC gives a kid a better chance of playing for a national title (not really even true, as all the recent trophies belong to only four different schools)
That is why he said what he said and it's perfectly reasonable for him to say it. He recruits against SEC schools which pitch the conference as a reason for a kid to pick them over schools like Clemson, and he's simply saying - "Hey, you don't have to be in the SEC to win a championship." And he's right. You don't. In fact, a recruit has a better chance of playing in big games at Clemson than he does at some SEC schools.
