Alabama freshman center fielder Georgie Salem (Birmingham, Ala.) was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Salem posted a .364 average for the week, which included a .462 (6-for-13) performance in the SEC three-game series against Tennessee.
