I think Ole Miss "moved up" from having to play in Dayton to not playing until the "second round".

So what are our chances of actually beating Wiscy? I don't know anything about them.
Even if we beat them, thats the end of the line. No way we are going to beat Kansas St. in second round.

Wisconsin's teams have pretty much all been the same for the last several years. They are always a strong rebounding team with a bunch of 6'8" white guys that can either post up or shoot from the outside. Rebs will have to win with quickness, perimeter shooting. Wiscy is one of the best teams in the country defensively but at times they can be downright ugly on offense. They've had several games in the last two months of the season where they've only scored in the 40s-50s.
If the OM bigs can out-muscle the Wiscy bigs on the boards, I think you guys have enough explosiveness offensively to speed up the pace of the game. Pace is everything. Wisconsin wants it in the 50s, Rebels should want it up near 70. I think you guys can do it. Only thing about them is they tend to play really well in the postseason. Well-coached.
Having said all that...you won't beat K-State so at most I think you guys'll get one win. But it'll be fun.

Wisky is very good, and they've been on a tear here lately. Not an enviable position for OM, imo.
In the last month they've beaten #3 Michigan, #13 Ohio State, #6 Michigan (again), and #3 Indiana, before losing to Ohio State in the B1G championship game.

I really do feel like Florida is going to benefit from UCLA's tough draw. Minnesota is going to give the Bruins fits inside and I think the Gators will get to the Sweet 16 without a whole lot of trouble. The matchup that is really troublesome is Georgetown.

I honestly like how UF and Georgetown will (hopefully) end up playing. Finally get to play the game that was cancelled earlier in the year.

I'm not even convinced we'll see GT, again... we were beating them at the half when the game was called earlier in the year. They also lost to USF, Villanova, Pitt, and Marquette (who Florida beat by 33). They're overrated and blow it virtually every year.
Georgetown is a perennial player in the BE conference, and has not only made the tourney the last 3 years, but been seeded highly without accomplishing much.
They were a #3 seed in 2010, and promptly went on to lose by 14 points in the first round to #14 seed Ohio, out of the MAC. #6 seed Tennessee killed that same Ohio team by 15 in the very next game.
They were a #6 seed in 2011, and promptly went on to lose in the first round again, this time by 18 points to #11 seed VCU, out of the A10. Granted, that VCU team went on to the Final 4, which just goes to show they should have been seeded higher than GT from the beginning.
They were again a #3 seed last year, and went on to lose in the second round to #11 seed NCS.
They kicked tail in the Big East all 3 years, but have gotten punished in the last 3 tourneys by an #11 seed twice and a #14 seed from the MAC, A10, and ACC... while being seeded #3 twice and #6 themselves.
UF - 13-7 against Top 100, 13-0 against 101+. 0 bad losses.
GT - 13-5 against Top 100, 12-1 against 101+. 1 bad loss.

Really wish OM fans would stop bitching about the seed and matchup. Talking about on other boards. Terrible OOC and a few bad losses. Just be happy to be in the tournament. Its been a LONG TIME.

4-8 or 5-7 . The same way teams figured out the wild rebel offense after a year this team will face the same obstacles.

It's going to be so much fun watching reality settle in on the rebs this season. Do you all honestly think you'll stay on top against Mullen for long? I couldn't even type that with a straight face. Do you all honestly believe that you'll have another number one recruit pick you again because of family obligations? lmao.

That he won't ever win you more than nine games in a single season. Put it your sig. In three years, when he's lost to State twice and he's standing next to Houston Nutt in the unemployment line, we'll be laughing.
